Activities
Student Project Fund supports activities organised by UvA students that contribute to the Amsterdam student life and to the intellectual development of students. Below you will find the criteria for activities; for start-up costs and student parties separate criteria apply, which are set out on the relevant pages.
- Location
- The activity takes place in Amsterdam, Diemen or Amstelveen.
- Connection with the UvA
- The activity has a link with the University of Amsterdam.
- The activity is organised for and/or by students of the University of Amsterdam.
- Innovative
- Preference is given to activities that do not take place on an annual basis. Innovative activities are preferred.
- Contribution to development
- The activity contributes to the intellectual development of the student. Parties and similar events are not subsidised. The Student Project Fund also does not subsidise alcohol.
- Open nature
- The activity has an open nature, meaning that all students/interested people can participate and be informed about the activity. Promotion via posters, flyers, (faculty) emails and/or social media is required. Exclusive activities for own members are excluded.
- Funding
- The activity must be partially funded by the organizer, participants, or other funding bodies; Student Project Fund can never be the only source of funding.
- The budget must be realistic and balanced, with a healthy ratio between the own contribution and the requested grant, and it must take unforeseen costs into account.
- The contribution from Student Project Fund is intended as substantial support for activities that could not (or would hardly) be carried out without this financial contribution. The total budget may therefore be a maximum of €5,000 of which Student Project Fund will reimburse up to ¾ of the budget with a maximum of €750.
- Example:
- For a budget of €400, Student Project Fund will pay out a maximum of €300.

- Example:
- Right of attendance and logo
- Student Project Fund has the right to attend the event.
- Student Project Fund logo must be clearly visible on promotional and communication materials. The logo can be downloaded on the application
- Deadline*
- Applications must be submitted at least four weeks before the activity takes place.
- Student Project Fund grants a maximum of €750 per organisation per academic year.
* If the four-week deadline cannot be met due to circumstances, Student Project Fund will, in exceptional cases, still consider the application. For this, Student Project Fund expects a written justification from the organising party. Student Project Fund would also like to be informed of any changes to the content of the activity and/or any changes to the budget.
